Dear Members

We hope you are all keeping safe and well.

Whilst the Club has been in lockdown due to the Covid 19 Pandemic, it was decided that it would be a good time to carry out the electrical work required, with this in mind we took advantage of the Governments Bounce Back Loan offered.

The work on the electrics and the cellar cooler which we still need to purchase will take up most of this loan.

Other work was needed to improve the amenities and to this end a small number of dedicated volunteers have been working very hard to revamp and redecorate the interior of the club, it is now beginning to take shape and looks less like a bomb site.

The “Blue Room” has been transformed into the “Green Room” and includes new lights and curtains.

The Pool Room has been painted, the seating has been re-upholstered and the pool table re-covered.

The Main Bar Room is to be repainted and some improvements made to the bar.

The Lounge has benefitted from new curtains which complement the newly redecorated walls and ceiling.

The Ladies toilets have been a bone of contention for a number of years and whilst carrying out work in the club, we decided to go forward and renovate the toilets.

As stated above a Bounce Back Loan was obtained but most of this has been absorbed with the electrics,

Cellar Cooler and Decorating therefore we are inviting members to make a donation, however small, to help cover the costs of the Ladies toilets and lounge carpet, which is still desperately needed, anything would be appreciated.

Endless hours have been put in by the volunteers, so with this in mind please show your appreciation for all the work carried out and support the club when we open our doors again hopefully Mid-August the date to be confirmed.

If there are any members able to help with the cleaning early August before we open, please contact Marlene on 07787747674.

Yours sincerely

Your Committee.
